The Broker - What It Is
Tab Trade went live in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
His background matters. It suggests the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is better than a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that coverage is not narrow.
Platforms
They offer: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from one account. Most brokers pick one platform. Access to both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, EAs, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used MT4 or MT5 previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders prefer it once they try it.
FIX API is available for automated strategies but needs the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is apparently in the works. That would be a good addition when it lands.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Simple. No minimum deposit. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your real cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. This broker does not.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX API, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not for typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
This is the thing TabTrade stands apart. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. The average platform quote hundreds of milliseconds.
Should you care? If you scalp, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.
Combine those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the total package makes sense. Hardly anyone at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
Regulation
This is the part you need to be straight about. TabTrade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Plenty of tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The execution setup costs real money. Scam brokers do not pay for Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. But inform your assessment.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether that is worth it is your call.
Welcome Offer
Tab Trade offers bonus funds of up to two thousand dollars. Typical deposit match. You deposit, the broker top up your balance. Standard terms apply: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you deposit.
