Tab Trade — The Short Version
Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a New Zealand-regulated broker.
That last detail tells you something. It means the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. But more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.
They launched with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities institutional desks use. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, shares, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For something this new, the breadth is broad.
Platforms
You get: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Both platforms from one account. Most brokers pick one platform. Getting both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you have used MT4 or MT5 before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for automated strategies but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is reportedly on the roadmap. That should round things out when it arrives.
Accounts and Pricing
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. No commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. So your real cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. This broker has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not for typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
The speed is where this broker separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers operate at a much wider range.
Does it matter? For short-term trading, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the setup is serious. That says what kind of broker this is.
Put together that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and the total package is strong. Few brokers at this price point offer execution like this.
Regulation
This is the part you need to be straight about. The broker is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The person running it spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not make it safe. But inform how you think about it.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether the trade-off is worth it is your call.
